Which solar panels save the most money?A solar system provides many advantages including being much cheaper than paying for grid power in the long run. Choosing the right system and installation company can be challenging task, so, to simplify this we asked ourselves, what system is going to be the best for your pocket and the planet? A quality system might cost more initially and take around 12 months more to recoup the outlay, but the value is with the longevity. As long as the system is designed correctly the longer the panel lasts and the greater the yielded electricity, the more it’s going to save you. A cheap system might pay for itself in 3 years and then fail shortly after this and therefore not actually save you much money, if any at all. We see this far too often in the solar industry and often the system is “orphaned” with no warranty support as the installer and manufacturer are out of business. Solar panels require energy to be manufactured and delivered of course but the additional renewable energy they produce in their life above the initial footprint is positive renewable energy for the environment. The time it takes the panel to produce the same amount of energy required to manufacture and deliver the panel is refered to as the “energy payback period”. Cheap panels can end up in landfill far too soon because they lack quality, and they don’t have a recycling program and they contain harmful chemicals. With a well manufactured product, built with the future in mind, you end up with a product that could produce over 500% more renewable energy in its lifetime and due to inflation, this could mean over 10 times the amount in savings and carbon offset. With the solar investment, due to the long-term compounding savings it’s safe to say that a quality, reliable system installed to a high standard is the smart choice.

What are the most reliable & sustainable solar panels?

As with solar panels, the longer the product lasts and continues to perform at a high level the more energy is produced and the more money is saved.
